Diapers!?
Hi to all the moms out there! I need a little advice about which diapers are the best and why. I want to stock up on some before Lyla gets here, but I don't know which kind to get. I've been told to wait until she's here because certain diapers might fit her better than others. However, I want to have alot of diapers available when we first bring her home because we're going to be reaaaaal broke while I'm on maternity leave and I just want to go ahead and get some of those expensive purchases out of the way while we have the $$!! Anywho, that's all! Any advice is surley appreciated! =)

Hey girly! Ok, so I'm not a mom, but I do make a living from changing diapers all day long, so I thought I'd put in my 2 cents. My favorites that the parents bring in are the Pampers Swaddlers because they are waaay softer than any other kind of diapers, and I think they are more comfortable on little bottoms!

yep totally. i hate huggies, they are so much more bulky and when they get full i feel like she is more uncomfortable. pampers swaddlers are my favorite. get more size ones that size NB because they grow out of newborn realllly quickly. i think she was only in them for like 3 weeks. also, generic ones that i have tried are awful, they dont absorb a thing. at least not wal mart brand. she leaked out of everyone i put on her. some moms i know use them because they work fine and are so cheap but i dont think they work on her. im ok with buying diapers tho because its ALL you buy at first, well if you are nursing. good luck!
I think it depends on your baby I guess. We used Pampers at first, but they just seemed to cut Jubilee's legs in her crotch area (not severly, just irritated). We love Huggies and my mom has Wal-Mart brand at her house. Both seem to work great, but the Wal-Mart brand isn't as elasticky (is that a word?!?!) at the top. I definitely agree with Jill, don't get many NB sized. Jubilee came home wearing a size one and has been in a size three since she was a month old. Everyone told me to get tons of NB sized and we didn't need any at all so we ended up giving them to Safe Harbor. Hope that helps!!!
Oh yeah, just get one or two NB size diapers. When Simon was born he ALREADY fit a size one, so we wound up giving alllll the NB diapers (and we had a ton) to Mr. Noack and his wife! Ahh... Mr. Noack...
Oh yeah, we also have a pack of cloth diapers that we put her in around the house. It gives her a nice break from being stuffed into disposible ones. She loves them :o)
