3 More Months!!

Today is the 18th and Lyla is due March 18th soooooo...that means 3 more months left!! YAY! Next Wednesday I'll be 28 weeks and I will officially be in my 3rd trimester! This pregnancy has just flown by! It amazes me still how fast the time has passed. I simply cannot wait to hold her in my arms!! Anywho, I have been having some cravings! Here's my cravings list:

  • Philly Cheese steak sandwiches

  • Actually, pretty much anything with onions and peppers

  • Big greasy hamburgers (funny how even the smell of those made me sick the first 3 months)

  • BEEF! Steak actually. From Coach N Four preferably or cooked on the grill by Rhett

  • Cookies, or more specifically Milano cookies!

  • and finally, anything chocolaty!!!

Basically, that's what I think about eating all the time. But any food right now is my friend. Sunday is my first baby shower ever and I am so excited! I am so thankful for little Kristi and little Jo Jo for throwing a shower for me, I just love them with all my heart. Thank you girls so much! =) And then, Christmas night Rhett and I leave for South Carolina and Lyla will finally get to meet her grandma and grandpa (well, one set of grandparents anyway)! I am just so happy right now! I will hopefully get to post pics from the shower early next week....oh who am I kidding?! Y'all know me, they'll be up Sunday night!!! =) Maybe...

27 and 1/2 weeks!!

She's a mover and a shaker!

As of today, I am 26 weeks and 2 days along. Lyla has her active days and her not so active days, but when she's active...she's very active. Like right now, as I'm typing this I can actually see where she's kicking me! My stomach will poke out in the spot where she just kicked the crap out of me!! It doesn't hurt at all, it's just so neat and cute. I love it. Her movements have definitely gotten alot stronger. There are no ifs now as to whether "outsiders" can feel her or not. Rhett, Jo, and little Kristi have all felt her! She even spooked Kristi a little, which was hilarious!! I have also felt her hiccup which is so very cute!! It feels like her whole body is vibrating whenever she hiccups!
Umm lets see, I just had my most recent doctor's appointment Monday. I'm doing better on the weight gaining thing. My doctor told me the reason he was concerned was because apparently you gain half you weight before 28 weeks and the other half after 28 weeks...and if that's the case then that's a frightening thought. Oh well, we shall see. I don't really care how much weight I gain, I just want to remain on the healthy side and not develop gestational diabetes or go in to preterm labor!! Kristi accompanied Rhett and I to the doctor's appointment. The nurses and my doctor all gave us kind of weird looks but I was like "this is my best friend and she's been in Africa for like a year and she just wants to hear the heartbeat"! It was funny. My doctor commented, "so, we've got a crowd today". Ha ha, yep. Anywho, Kristi did hear the heartbeat and it was definitely as neat as it always is! It's unbelievable how fast that sucker is.
Well, that's about it for the updates. I can't think of anything else...oh yes, I know! I am just absolutely blown away by the thoughtfulness of others. My friend Miranda sent me and Lyla the sweetest gift a couple weeks ago, a package of burp clothes that had Lyla's name monogrammed on them. Seeing her name on something like that just made me so happy!! And another friend Jessi has two young little girls and she has offered to give me alot of their clothes that don't fit anymore. It's amazing how kind and giving people can be and I am just so thankful for every gift we get for little Lyla. Okay, now I'm done updating! =)

3 and 1/2 more months to go!!

Whoo hoo! I'm getting bigger and bigger by the day it feels like! Sometimes I feel immense pressure on the lower part of my belly and I can only imagine that that pressure is going to get worse as the months go on. It feels like she might just fall out. Maybe that means she'll come out quick during labor...ha...a girl can wish. Anywho, I went dress shopping recently because I needed one or two for an upcoming wedding and my baby shower. Oh boy, that was fun. Everything just looks so weird on me...I felt like I was wearing big bags or something. I did end up getting one that I liked alot. Then I came home and tried on dresses I already had and that was even more fun. It's amazing how much my body has changed. I "modeled" all of them to Rhett to get his opinion of whether I could still wear them or not. One of the dresses was pretty tight, I will admit, and I asked Rhett if it looked stupid and without pausing to think about it he said, "yes". I got p-oed and said, "what's stupid about it??? The bump? Cause that's not going away"!!! Yehhhh, it was quite humorous. In the end, I found that I only have about 3 dresses that I can wear now. Anywho, sleeping has become more difficult. I've started to sleep with a pillow in between my legs and that has definitely helped some. However, even with all the acid indigestion, heart burn, trouble sleeping, and lack of a wardrobe....I can honestly say that I absolutely love being pregnant. Knowing she's with me all day and night is awesome. I love feeling her poke and kick. All the "bad" stuff that goes along with pregnancy is SOOO worth it! =) My next doctor's appointment is Monday!! Blood work time! YAY! Here's a pic of me at 25 weeks!

24 Weeks

The more and more weeks that pass, the more that it's sinking in that in 3 and 1/2 months little Lyla will be here in her mommy and daddy's arms! I really can't wait! I feel her so much more now, when I'm standing, sitting, lying down, whatever....I feel her little movements. It's amazing. Rhett has felt her and so has Jo! Jo described it like a muscle twitch and that's pretty much what it feels like, at least to me. I'm not yet to the point where I can feel where she is in my belly besides the soft and hard spots...but that will come pretty soon I'm sure. As far as everything else, I have horrible acid indigestion and heartburn sometimes. Whoooo...it takes my breath away. But it all comes with the territory I suppose. Also, people are so funny, I went to lunch with my friend Melissa today and as we were walking out our server said, "you're having a girl aren't you"? I was so shocked, I was like, "how'd you know??!" and she said that she had four girls of her own and she knew by the way I was carrying. She said it looks like a basketball when you're carrying a girl. Interesting. Anywho, here's a side and front pic of me at 24 weeks!! Not too too much longer to go!! YAY! Tomorrow's Thanksgiving and I get to do one of my favorite things all day long...EAT!!! And of course hang out with family!! =)

Birthing classes, baby furniture, and grandparents!

I am so excited because I just registered Rhett and myself for a whole bunch of fun baby classes at Sacred Heart!! I was really only wanting to take the Child Birthing/Lamas classes (which take place every Tuesday for 6 weeks), but the lady I spoke to at the Nesting Place (at Sacred Heart..how cute..) said that they offer classes in a "bundle" and that I should take all three: Child Birthing/Lamas (we have to bring 2 pillows, oh how fun!), Newborn Parenting (where they teach you how to take care of a newborn and what to do when they're sick), and Breastfeeding (which I'm going to do, but didn't think I needed a class on it...but hey, any info is good info). All these classes take place in January and I just can't wait!! So much exciting stuff is happening and it just makes me realize how very soon March is going to get here! Rhett and I have pretty much decided on a crib/baby furniture and all we have to do is order it! I seriously can not wait for that to get here! I bet Rhett can't wait to put it all together too! He he he =) Let's see what else...all the grandparent's (Rhett's parents, my mom and Charlie, and my dad and Tammra) have been discussing what they want their "grandparent" names to be, basically what they want little Lyla to call them. My dad and Tammra already have a grandchild (Tammra's son's son) so they already go by Oma and Opa. My mom is so cute because she told me that she's been asking the kids in her class what they call their grandparents! She's just so excited!! She said that she either wants to be Mimi or GG (Greatest Grandma! SO CUTE)! and Charlie can be Gpa or something like that. And Rhett's parent's, well they haven't decided yet, but it's so fun to talk about this stuff! Anywho, I haven't really slacked off on my eating because well, I think I'm doing just fine! I read in my What to Expect When You're Expecting book and it said that it was normal to gain 2 lbs per week in your second and third trimester. And if that's the case, then I'm right on schedule. I mean good Lord! Lyla's got to have some room to move around and grow in my belly! However, I think I will try to be a little more cautious of how much I eat. Maybe. That's all for now!

Here's a picture of the ladybug bedding and accessories that we're planning on doing for Lyla's nursery!!

Dr's Appointment Update

Well, I just got back from my Dr's appointment and all is well with little Lyla. We heard her heartbeat and it was strong, that is, we heard it when she wasn't squirming around. The nurse said she wouldn't be still long enough to really get a good listen. However, she was finally still for just a little bit and I was able to record the heartbeat on my phone! YAY! Dr. Turner said that my belly was growing just fine and that everything seemed to be on schedule. However, and this is a big however, he had some concerns with my weight gain thus far. Umm, apparently I gained 8 lbs in the last month which brings my total so far to 22 lbs. Dr. Turner said that I need to start watching what I eat (OH NO!) because if the weight gain gets too much above 30 lbs then I'm at risk for diabetes and other fun stuff like that. So that was not fun to hear. My outlook on eating during pregnancy was always "Oh, I'm pregnant, I can eat anything I want". Yehhhh, I suppose not. I guess I'm going have to cut out my chocolate covered strawberries and french silk pie runs. =( Anywho, that's about it though on the appointment update. Have a nice Veteran's Day everyone! I don't have to work tomorrow! YAYYY! So I will be sleeping in and eating....healthy....boo.

She's stubborn, just like her momma!

Over halfway there! YAY! I get pregnancy updates emailed to me every week and this one said that little Lyla is now about three quarters of a pound and 11 inches long! I can definitely tell! She is getting bigger in there! It's funny, I can feel mushy spots on my belly (where she's not) and then I'll feel hard spots on my belly (where some part of her little body is)! It's pretty cool. Rhett has felt that too. He's also felt her kick too, he just didn't know it. He had his had on my belly when I knew she was kicking and she kicked him and he said "I think I felt it" and I said "Well, yeah you did, that's not gas"! But it's so cute, I don't think she likes to be poked because when I know she's in a certain place I'll poke to feel her and she'll move away. She's stubborn. Like me. Uh-oh, watch out Baby Rhett! Anywho, in the weekly update it also said that I may start to experience very mild contractions (my uterus just practicing for labor apparently) and that they are "a far cry from the contractions you will experience during labor". Oh boy, I just loved reading that! =) However, I have yet to feel any sort of mild contractions, at least I think I haven't. All is well with me and little Lyla. My appetite has increased, I downed an entire hamburger and fries today for lunch at Applebees, and I had room for more...that never happens to me. So, here's a pic of me at 21 weeks. And I also included a front view of my belly because now you can actually tell I'm pregnant from the front! I have another doctor's appointment Monday, so I might update after that!

Halfway there!!

Tomorrow I will be 20 weeks along and that is a huge benchmark....Lyla and I are halfway there and that much closer to meeting each other face-to-face! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by, and how big my belly has gotten in the past few weeks! Strangers are starting to notice and the people who already knew I was pregnant tell me "you're getting big fast"! Uhhh, thanks, I think. Anywho, I'm feeling her more and more each day...even as I type right now. I always seem to feel her when I'm playing on the computer, but it's probably due to the fact that I'm sitting up straight. Just recently while lying in bed I had my hand of my stomach while watching TV and I felt her from the outside of my belly! That was definitely a first! I yelled for Rhett, but of course those kinds of kicks, pokes, jabs or whatever they are are so random and Rhett did not get to experience it and has yet to. I'm hoping that he will be able to soon though. I know he has been waiting and waiting to feel his little girl kick! Sooo, let's see...I've started to feel some soreness in my lower back and thighs, especially when I just wake up in the mornings. I'm hungry all the time, but I have yet to experience any weird cravings. That is unless you consider my unbelievable desire to devour sweets like candy, doughnuts, and yummy desserts, but I've always loved that kind of stuff so I don't really think that's a craving. Rhett and I registered for baby stuff a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun! However, it was a little overwhelming how much stuff we will actually need. I would love suggestions from all the moms out there as to what is needed and what we can live without! Because Lord knows, I have no idea!! =) Also, we've begun the process of painting her nursery again! We painted one coat of red and one coat of pink, but we have to go over it again so it's not quite finished, but I can already tell that I'm going to love the theme and colors! I really can't wait to put stuff in there and see it all come together. I'm not a very patient person and I always love to see results NOW, but I know that her nursery is going to be a very slow process and that I should just accept that. Anywho, Here's a pic of me at 20 weeks!!

"The One and Only Ever You"

I got this book to read to Lyla before and after she's born...I think it is just such a cute book.

On the Night You Were Born
by: Nancy Tillman

On the night you were born,
The moon smiled with such wonder
that the stars peeked in to see you
and the night wind whispered,
"Life will never be the same."

Because there had never been anyone like you...
ever in the world.

So enchanted with you were the wind and the rain
that they whispered the sound of your wonderful name.

It sailed through the farmland
high on the breeze...

Over the ocean...
And through the trees...

Until everyone heard it
and everyone knew
of the one and only ever you.

Not once had there been such eyes,
such a nose,
such silly, wiggly, wonderful toes.

When the polar bears heard,
they danced until dawn.

From faraway places,
the geese flew home.

The moon stayed up until
morning the next day.
And none of the ladybugs flew away.

So whenever you doubt just how special you are
and you wonder who loves you, how much and how far,
listen for geese honking in the sky.
(They're singing a song to remember you by.)

Or notice the bears asleep at the zoo.
(It's because they've been dancing all night for you!)

Or drift off to sleep to the sound of the wind.
(Listen closely...it's whispering your name again!)

If the moon stays up until morning one day,
or a ladybug lands and decides to stay,
or a little bird sits at your window awhile,
it's because they're all hoping to see you smile...

For never before in story or rhyme
(not even once upon a time)
has the world ever known a you, my friend,
and it never will, not ever again...

Heaven blew every trumpet
and played every horn
on the wonderful, marvelous
night you were born.

And also, we've decided the theme of her nursery shall be Ladybugs! =) When we first found out we were pregnant, we were going to go with a more neutral theme and we painted her room yellow, but I just can't help myself...so we're going to paint her room again, this time pink and red!! This is her first piece of wall art painted by her mommy!

Yep, she sure is in there!

Whoa! I have definitely started to feel little Lyla alot lately! It's so weird! I don't know how to describe it, its kind of feel like light little finger pokes. I love it. It lets me know she's in there and doing just fine. When we went to the doctor, they said right now she weighs approximately 7 ounces (unbelievably small!) and is about the size of a Coca Cola can! How cute! Seeing pictures of Jill with little Kennedy puts my mind at ease about labor. Yes, I'm no idiot...I know it will hurt, but just being able to see the finished product seems like it is absolutely amazing! Anywho, here's another pic of my every growing belly. This is 18 weeks and 1 day and I put that little caption on there for my mom to print out and take to school with her! =) She's going to be a cute little granddmother!

It's a GIRL!!!!!!

YAYYYY! I can't even tell you happy I am! I would have been happy with either a boy or girl, of course, but I just really really wanted a girl! And that's what we got! She's precious! We saw her wiggle and move around in the ultrasound, and let me tell you that girl is crazy! She did not like the ultrasound but she was very cooperative, thank goodness, and we were able to tell she was "an apple without a stem"! Everything looks good and she's growing right on schedule! It's just unbelievable, so many people told me it would be a girl and I was getting my hopes up so much. Rhett is so excited too, he really didn't care whether it was a boy or girl but I can so see him treating her like a little princess. Anywho, we do have her named already! We came up with her name before she was even conceived...so here are some pictures of our little Lyla Grace!

It's a girl!

Our precious little angel! She's the size of a coke bottle!

One of her cute little feet!

Our little skeleton! =) She's facing us saying "Hi Mom and Dad"!

30 more minutes!!

AHHHH! My stomach is all in knots! I can't believe in just a little over 30 minutes I'll know whether we're going to have a son or daughter! I already told whatever it is that it better cooperate today so we'll be able to tell! =) Anywho, after the appointment I'm taking the rest of the day off to shop for baby clothes!!!! YAYYYYY! I'll post again later this afternoon or tonight!

"You're gettin' a belly!"

I wasn't going to post again until next Monday when we find out the sex, but what happened to me this morning was just hilarious! I went to go visit/observe one of my clients this morning who works at a retirement home. She is such a sweet heart and usually doesn't say too much, but today I was standing there talking to her and she goes "you're gettin' a belly"!! I just kind of paused for a minute and realized I had forgotten to tell her I was pregnant! Soooo, I told her the news and she was so excited, but it was just so funny because ummm, what if I wasn't pregnant?! I guess that's what people are thinking when they look at me now, but she's probably one of the few to just say what's on their mind without really thinking about it. It was cute. Anywho, I just thought it was funny.

Boy or girl, one more week until we know!

Just one more week until we find out what we're having!! I can hardly stand the wait! Oh, and I have also really felt some movement in my belly! It feels like twitches on the inside! Weird, but oh so cool!! I can't wait to feel more!
My mom told me the other day that she's been printing out my prego belly pics and putting them up in her classroom like a timeline! She's so cute! So here ya go mom! Print this one on out!

16 weeks and 4 days!

Just kick or poke me already!

For the past week I have just been so excited at the thought that I am approaching the point to where I can feel our baby inside me! Only, I haven't yet or at least I'm not sure if I have or not! I've read that at this point I might feel "quickenings" and those feel like bubbles or butterflies in your belly and I swear I have felt that when I'm laying in bed or sitting real still . Sometimes I just try and sit reaaaaaaaal still and hold my breath in hopes of feeling a kick, poke, or jab....something to know it's in there!! I know in like a month from now I'll feel my fair share of kicks, pokes, and jabs and they will probably keep me up at night, but as of right now I can't wait to experience it!! Speaking of which, I am tired of calling it an "it".... 13 more days until we finally know what "it" is!

This is a pic of me at 15 weeks and 3 days I believe. It's a growin'!

3rd Doctor's Appointment

I am NOW officially in my 2nd Trimester. I was mistaken last week. Some of my readings and some of the websites I go to say different things...so who the hecks knows. Anywho, today was my 3rd appointment with Dr. Turner. I was really nervous because I thought they were going to take my blood and then I got to thinking, "Heather, your going to have to go into labor and birth a child here in a few months...so what's it matter to have a little blood drawn". However, I did not get blood drawn today, I have to go back the week of October 2nd when I'm 16 weeks. We did get to listen to the baby's heartbeat again and I'm so glad Rhett was there to hear it firsthand this time! I also recorded it on my phone so I can listen to anytime I want and also let our family members hear it as well. Other than that, everything's going good and on schedule. My next doctor's appoinment is October 13th and that's when we will find out whether we are having a little boy or girl!! I CANNOT WAIT!

Helloooooo 2nd Trimester!!

I made it to the 2nd Trimester!! YAYYY! I hear it's the best, so I'm excited! I still feel nauseated sometimes (mostly at night) and I keep saying that I feel like it's getting better, but maybe this is it. Maybe I'm going to feel like this every night for the rest of my pregnancy. Oh well, it could be worse. I could be sick ALL DAY, EVERY DAY like my mom was. Anywho, not much else new going on. However, as you can see in the picture, my belly is growing! I am excited about that and I've been wearing maternity pants for a couple weeks now. Maternity pants are wonderful! Although I can't wait until my tummy gets a little bit bigger so people know I'm pregnant and not just pudgy. That's all for now!!

I'm Craving...

Chinese food!! I think I could eat at a Chinese Buffet every day of the week. Anywho, that's my one and only craving thus far.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Amazing!!

I finally heard what I've waited so long to hear! My baby's heartbeat! I went back today because I was desperate to know if everything was okay. It took the lady forever, she was pushing on my stomach with that Doppler thing and I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to hear it or that maybe there wasn't anything to hear....and then loud and clear, there it was!! It was not white noise this time, I could definitely hear that fast little heartbeat!! =) She said it was approximately 160 beats per minute! I left the doctors office and returned to work smiling, knowing that I really and truly am not alone. Amazing!!

2nd Doctor's Appointment

Well, I have to say I am a little disappointed. All we did at my doctor's appointment today was take my blood pressure and try and listen for the baby's heartbeat. My doctor said he was 90% sure he heard it (he knows what to listen for, it sounded like a bunch of white noise to me and Rhett) and he said I could come back in a week to really hear it because it's just a little too early. Sooo...I will definitely be going back in a little over a week so I can hear my little baby's heartbeat! I thought we were going to get another ultrasound this time but he said we won't get another one until mid October, which will be where we find out what we're having! I am definitely excited about that!! I have a feeling it's a boy! Anywho, we shall see! My next appointment is Sept. 17th in which I will have like a gallon of blood drawn...yipppeee. I have to say I am not looking forward to that. Can't we just skip to October??? Hmm, I suppose it will be here soon enough. Well, I gotta go! Spaghetti O's are calling my name!

9 weeks and 3 days

Let's see...my hunger, of course, has not ceased. It's hard to go to work every morning, #1 because I feel sick and tired and #2 I'm scared because I want to be able to eat whenever and wherever I may happen to get sick and sometimes that's hard if I'm with a client. I have to bring lots of food with me so I can work in my "5 meals a day" thing. It's tough, but I'm managing. I really really love McDonald's Fruit and Walnut salad (it's just apples, grapes, walnuts, and fruit dip) and it's only like $2.50. It makes a great quick snack!!
During my first doctor's appointment my doctor told me to take B6 and Unisom (together) to ease my nausea. Soooo, that's what I have been taking twice a day to try and make the nausea go away so I could function. Well, the medication just was not working so I said "screw it" and I stopped taking it altogether, and low and behold...I FEEL BETTER! What the?! Who knows. So I recently started taking Ginger Root vitamins (along with my prenatals) to help ease the excess nausea and I seriously have not felt this good in what seems like months! Hallelujah!!
Umm, I'm not going to put belly shots up right this moment...It's honestly embarrassing. I've gained like 7 or 8 pounds already (since my last doctor's appointment), and I definitely know from reading about pregnancy that I'm not suppose to be showing this early. Well, I guess I should be a little more clear about that....my baby is not the reason I'm showing right now. Let's just put it that way. =)

Things I'm LOVIN' right now:

  • Fruit
  • My bed
  • Jello snack packs
  • Lose fitted clothing
  • Knowing that I am never ever alone now =)
  • Talking about boy names (we already have a girl name picked out)
  • Looking at baby stuff
  • Orange Cream Frappcino's from Books-a-million
  • Talking to my mom everyday about what's going on and how I'm feeling
  • Rhett being an amazing husband and helping with household chores like laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc....I don't know what I'd do without him...
  • The Auburn outfit Jo got us and that was officially completed with all the Auburn stuff my mom and Charlie got us! And so it begins...
  • My sweet baby blanket from my BF Kristi
  • My boobs are getting bigger and bigger and bigger...(yayyy, but of course it comes with a price, they hurt)
  • NAPS
  • Knowing that I get to see my little baby's head, feet, hands, and heartbeat this week!!!

Things I'm not really likin' right now:

  • Having to unbutton my jeans when I sit
  • Tight fitted shirts
  • Hugging my toilet
  • Food that smells greasy
  • The ever constant feeling of uncontrollable hunger
  • Unisom and B6
  • Waking up early
  • Having people ask me "what are you having"...umm, it's WAY too early for that folks!!
  • Rhett's boy name choices...("Rhett, I am not naming our child Mossy"...yehhhh)
  • Thinking about all the millions of things that could go wrong...
  • Feeling tired all the time
  • Drinking what seems like gallons and gallons of water
  • And then having to pee it out every 30 minutes
  • Having my friends and mom so far away =(

Anywho, I'll post after we have our doctor's appointment the 20th! I can't wait!

Hunger

Whoa...this whole hunger thing is crazy. You'd think being hungry all the time and always wanting to eat wouldn't be such a bad thing, but it really is so difficult to manage. Not because I care about gaining weight, but because I have to constantly worry and think about food because if I don't eat and my stomach gets close to empty, well then I get sick. My doctor said that I should eat 5 small meals a day... and I thought whoaaaaaaaa, that's a lot. Actually, he said I was eating too much now as it was! I was and still am a little confused....I just told him, "but I'm starving"!! He said my baby doesn't need my food right now and that my stomach can't manage all that I'm eating. I just can't understand that if I'm not suppose to eat so much, then why in the heck is my belly always growling?! AHHHH! I know that this too will get better in time, but as of right now my life is centered around food and it's just not as fun as you'd think!!

1 + 1 = 3

I'm pregnant!!! YAYYYY! I guess you've gathered that by coming to this new link! Well, this is where I will post all about Little Baby Summerford! Right now I am officially 8 weeks and I'm due March 18th!
Rhett and I found out at the beginning of July that we were expecting our first little baby. The positive line on the pregnancy test was so faint that I just had to take several more to ensure that I really was pregnant! I'm nuts, I know! Soooo, my first doctor's appointment was July 24th (my mom was able to come with us, that was awesome!) and were able to see little Baby "Bean" Summerford's heartbeat! It was absolutely amazing. Now, I'm not the type to cry, but when I saw that flicker my heart just was overfilled with happiness. Afterwards Rhett said that he felt the same way. He's so excited about being a daddy...I remember one time he called me from work and told me he was looking stuff up online and that our baby was 1mm in length! I just laughed because I am so happy that he is so happy! Anywho, my next appointment is August 20th and that is where we will see the fingers, toes, head, etc...and also we will get a video tape (or DVD I guess) of our baby's heartbeat!! How exciting!! What is not so exciting is that I am experiencing the worst part of pregnancy to the full extent! All I can say is this morning/all day sickness is for the birds. I am about a month away from my second trimester and all I keep thinking is please God let this nausea go away! Oh well, we'll see! I'll definitely try to update often!

Yehh...so I've been really really hungry lately. That's how I account for the already noticeable bump. If this is any indication of how large my belly will get then I have to admit I am a little frightened... =D and excited!
